Any quotations are valid for 30 calendar days from the date issued.
No contract is formed until full payment has been received. Once paid, these terms form a legally binding agreement.
It’s your responsibility to check your order confirmation carefully, as this is the document I use when preparing your order.
I reserve the right to use images of your baked goods for advertising, social media, galleries, and competitions.
I recommend keeping copies of all documentation received for your records.
Ordering & notice period
All bakes from May Crumb Co. are freshly made to order. To ensure availability and maintain quality, all orders require a minimum of 5 days’ notice.
I recommend placing your order at least 7 days in advance for larger orders, weekends, special occasions, or seasonal dates.
If you need an order at shorter notice, please get in touch. I’ll always do my best to accommodate, but this cannot be guaranteed.
Price & payment
Prices are as stated in your order confirmation.
Prepayment policy: All orders must be paid in full within 24 hours of receiving the order confirmation and payment details. Your order will not be made until full payment is received.
Late payment constitutes a breach of contract. I reserve the right to cancel the order if payment isn’t received within 24 hours of receiving the order confirmation.
Any delay in obtaining ingredients due to late payment will not result in liability on my part.
Cancellations & postponements
Orders cancelled 4 or more days before collection will be charged 50% of the order amount.
Orders cancelled 3 days or fewer before collection will be charged 100% of the order amount.
Postponements: Please contact me as soon as possible. While not guaranteed, I may be able to move your order to a new date at my discretion.
Collection
Orders are available for free collection by arrangement from the BS16 area. I will provide the full collection address once your order has been confirmed.
Arriving outside the agreed collection window may cause delays.
Once your order leaves my premises, I am not responsible for damage during transport.
Baked Goods
I ensure that my cupcakes and cookies match the description in your order confirmation, are of satisfactory quality, and comply with UK food safety standards.
Product sizes are approximate and based on standard measurements.
I cannot be held responsible for dissatisfaction with design or interpretation, as long as the order matches your pre-agreed requirements.
The warranty does not cover defects caused by wilful damage, accidents, negligence, misuse, or alterations after collection.
I do not make exact replicas of other people’s work; reference images are welcome to guide your custom order.
Allergens
All of my cupcakes contain wheat and soya.
My Milk Chocolate, Milk & White Chocolate, and White Chocolate & Raspberry cookies contain wheat.
The Biscoff & White Chocolate cookies contain wheat and soya.
All products are made in a kitchen that may occasionally handle eggs, fish, soya, milk, peanuts, nuts, and celery. While every care is taken to avoid cross-contamination, I cannot guarantee any product is completely allergen-free.
When ordering, please always let me know about any allergies or intolerances.
It is your responsibility to ask for an ingredient list and inform me of any allergies at the time of order.
Baking & freshness
All products are baked as close to the collection date as possible to ensure maximum freshness.
Cupcakes are usually baked the day before or the day of collection.
Cookies are typically baked 1-2 days before collection, as they store well and allow flavours to develop.
Some items may be prepared in advance for quality or convenience, but always within a safe and suitable timeframe.
Storage
Cupcakes and cookies should be stored in a cool, dry place, in the packaging provided, away from direct sunlight or heat.
Do not refrigerate, unless otherwise advised.
I cannot be held liable for damage caused by adverse weather conditions.
Liability
Any claims for defective goods or services are limited to a refund or credit note, at my discretion, and will not exceed the value of the goods ordered.
Complaints
Taste and flavour are subjective; dissatisfaction with flavour alone does not constitute a claim.
Decoration issues must be reported at collection. After this, decoration claims cannot be accepted.
Complaints must be reported within 24 hours of collection, with the product returned if required, so I can assess the issue fairly.
Please do not post negative content online without first providing written notice and giving me an opportunity to resolve the issue amicably.
I will only communicate with the person who placed the original order.
